We are looking for a 4 bedroom house for 6 people to live in but are unable to find anyone willing to allow room shares. Any suggestions?

Half of us will be students and half of us will have graduated. There are 2 couples who need room shares.

  • Hi Student2009, There are ways to find flats and/or houses that will be accessible to those in your situation. Unfortunately, it is just more difficult at the moment, largely thanks to the healthy state of the rental market. Due to the fact there are a greater number of families seeking rented properties at the moment, it is more likely that landlords with bigger properties will find a more secured tenancy, as it can often be the case with sharers that some people want to stay while others want to leave, leaving landlords with a tricky situation. The best way to go about getting yourself a rent where you can share with friends can be to look at private landlords rather than those working through an agent, as they can often be more flexible if you take the chance to talk to them about your own situation. Thanks, Scott
