  • It's typically very hard to find a city apartment that would accept a pet, particularly a dog. This is due to the leasehold restrictions imposed on the apartment owners when they purchase, which often prohibits pets being kept in the building. This is due to possible disturbance to neighbours and mess. Houses are always a safer option for pet owners.

  • It may be a struggle to find a rental property where pets are accepted. Especially in a big blocks where there are leasehold restrictions. Also many agents do not rent to pet owners in general. Try to rent privately.

  • Hi, Although it's not impossible to find a property and landlord that allows you to keep dogs, we tend to see that it is very hard to come across due to the additional wear and tear that a dog can cause with the property. We would suggest you get in touch with local estate agents and query whether they have any dog friendly rentals and if so could you be added to their databases for regular updates. It may be the case that you pay an addition to your deposit to allow for additional coverage. We hope this helps.
