Do you have to have a credit check? What is it for?

  • Some landlords will carry out a credit check to see if you have bad credit and therefore might fall short on the rent, they want to know if you are a risk basically.   • Yes you will need a credit check. It is the basic referrance check any landlord/agent will do to see if your a good tenant or someone who has ccj.

  • Hello, Yes you do. It is to see if you have any bad credit missed payments ccjs. If you have had no ccjs or bad credit I would not worry about it at all. Regards.
