White goods in an unfurnished flat

I am due to move into a rented unfurnished flat next week and the landlord had confirmed through an agency that a fridge and cooker would be provided with the flat. I have now been told that the landlord will not be providing a fridge. It is not written in the contract but I do have an email confirming that the landlord had agreed on providing a fridge. Can anyone tell me what my rights are on this issue? I have signed a contract and paid all my fees so I cannot back out of the rental. Thanks

  • Hi Kim, I believe you have a right to back out as you can prove that the deal has changed from that agreed. Hope that helps a bit. Regards, Jonathan :-)
