How long does it take for a letting agent to get credit reports?

Normally within 48 hours, the things that can take the time are employers and or previous landlord references as need to wait for them to reply.

Depending who they use, they can be almost instant. You'll need to have given consent for them to search but the whole process is done on-line so the search itself shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes! You may however find that a lot of agents farm all of their referencing out to an agency who may take longer to respond.

Hi. We've just had one reference that has taken a few days, mainly because we were waiting on the employer to come back to the referencing company. Therefore it can take up to a week, especially with a larger employer.
