  • Becka .. Whereabouts do you want to buy in the UK?

  • Arguably seaside towns offer the best buy to let yields whilst also offering decent growth potential.

  • Hi becka dh, In terms of the best area for buy-to-let investments, it depends entirely on what you are looking for. If you are seeking out a high monthly income, then London properties and those in the south-west attract some of the highest levels of rent. However, the initial cost can be very expensive. The opposite can be said of homes in the north, where it is cheaper to buy, but monthly income will be substantially lower. However, HSBC looked into what are statistically the best places for buy-to-let houses in April, and it discovered that the best town is Southampton. Rental yields in the Hampshire area sit at 7.82 per cent. The rest of the top five were all in the north, with Manchester, Hull, Blackpool and Nottingham rounding off the best performers. Many thanks, Scott
