How can I I know if rental prices in ads are "per person"?

In the rental ads for multi-bedroom properties, sometimes "per person" is mentioned in the notes and sometimes not. Could it be implied, or is it safe to assume that the prices that don't specifically state otherwise cover the whole property?

  • Generally assume if your are looking at multi-occupancy houses it will be per individual. If it is mentioned as 'pcm' or similar it is more likely to be the whole property. However these terms tend to be standard amongst agencies not necessarily private landlords.
