All agents will credit check you for rental. Should you have a low score you can either pay the rent for the term up front in advance or get a guarantor with a good credit rating. It would be worth doing your own credit report to make sure the information is correct and to give you an idea of how you will rate.

That is the norm and if yours is low then you may be asked for a higher deposit
