  • I know plenty who do - where are you looking?

  • Hi derbyleaflets, There are a number of ways to check out landlords who are taking on DSS tenants. Unfortunately, during periods where the rental market is doing well and performing strongly, it will become harder to find someone who rents to DSS tenants, but they are out there. One step you can do is to use the Zoopla search engine on the main site. Once you have outlined the basic criteria that you are looking for, you can use the bar on the right hand side to refine your search. Use the keyword box to look for words like DSS or benefit, and that will bring a list of those who definitively do or do not accept housing benefits. You can also make use of the local council's housing association, as they will have a readily accessible list of all of the landlords who do accept people on benefits. Thanks, Scott
