Why do Landlords have a problem with renting anything other than shared accomodation to students?

I can see the point in as far as they may be young and like to party but it is leaving me and my partner (who are classed as mature students) tearing our hair out trying to find a wee place of our own that we can get peace to study in.

  • For the money. A 2 bedroom that rents for £400 can be rented for at least £250 by the room. Also gets around the arguments at the end of the lease when things are damaged, more money is held, and people can be held accountable. Gives me an excuse to go in and have a look around.
