How much bond and rent do I pay before I can move in to property and when would I be able to get keys?

It does vary but typically you would need to pay one month's rent upfront as a deposit (can often be one and a half month's rent). Typically, you would also need to pay the first month's rent in advance before moving in. As soon as the landlord has accepted you as a tenant and the above monies have cleared you can move in (provided the place is ready of course).
