What can I do if I think the property I am renting is dangerous?
Loose wiring to lights, leaking toilets/ pipes. Landlord taken hefty deposit yet not interested. I cannot even use the loo! Advertised with parking - gate key broken, Advert said with kitchen appliances - microwave rusty!!

Speak with your local council, they will have an Housing Health and Community Officer who can visit the property and determine what needs to be done.

Agree with the answers above - also, make sure you have proof of everything. Keep records, and most importantly, take pictures of everything, this can later be used in court if needs be.
