What are reasonable charges agents can charge a prospective tenant when renting?

  • An agency may not charge a potential tenant for registering to look for property. They may charge an administration fee, referencing fee and possibly a charge towards the inventory. All fees should be advised in advance, i.e. when you make the application to rent a property.

  • Our agency charges £180 for a single tenant + £30.00 extra for any persons over the age of 18. We believe that this is one of the cheapest fees in Bournemouth & Poole.
