How do I secure a nice flat when the best ones are all gone?

We are a group of 4 tidy responsible non-smoking girls who need a flat for 3 years, but we are having a heck of a time getting one as they are scooped up so quickly. We would be happy to pay a finders fee or a commission. We would be excellent tenants but are very frustrated with the process.

  • The best thing to do is when you find an apartment that you like, to arrange a viewing and put an offer down on it as soon as possible. the demand for apartments very much out weighs the supply at the moment, and therefore is best to keep looking. It may also be advisable to contact lettings agents, let them know about your requirements, and how serious you are about finding a place, and i'm sure they will be more than happy to help you if they have any suitable properties that match your requirements. If you are looking for an apartment in London, I will be more than happy to help!

  • Put your name down and what you are prepared to pay with every lettings agent in town. Possibly take out an ad in the local paper?
