Rent a flat in Brighton

How can a couple, one working and other on DLA (health) rent a flat when agencies so far don't help and privates are hard to find? We can afford rent and two months deposit, provide references and are interested in a long term let, but we don't have guarantor.

  • You should find that an agency once you have explained your position should be able to help you. Make sure you take proof of deposit and your references and ask them if there is anything else they would need.

  • We would suggest that you just go round all the agencies that you can, Brighton is a huge rental city & there is bound to be an agency who will be able to help you. You could also contact the council who may be able to give you some pointers. Have you looked on Gumtree? That website can be useful when looking for private rentals. Best Wishes
