  • Hi Stephaniiie, If you have bad credit, obviously this is not an idea situation to be in when it comes to renting a property, but it certainly won't stop you outright. In fact, there are many agents and landlords out there for whom a credit check is not a requirement if you are able to fulfill other requirements. After all, all they want to know is that they can rely on you to pay all of your rent in time every month. A guarantor is definitely the biggest factor that will help you out in this sort of case. Make sure that they are aware of the fact they will have a legal obligation over your rent if you cannot pay, and bring a letter to the letting agents with you in which the person confirms themselves as your guarantor. Something else you will need to have is a record of your income. If you have a full-time job, bring proof of your employment that shows that you have the means to pay your rent comfortably each month. This should help to improve your chances of a letting agent agreeing to take you on. Many thanks, Scott
