Sometimes landlords want to let properties fully furnished as this may be the only property they have, maybe it was their own home and they have relocated. A solution to this is to ask the agent or the landlord directly (if a private let) if they would consider letting the property unfurnished maybe even offering them a small increase on the rental to cover the storage cost. Most landlords are very accomodating as an empty property is earning no money. Always ask the question, you never know.

There is a lack of supply at the moment unfortunately. Make sure that you specify 'Un-furnished' on your search criteria.
