When renting, does the cost include insurance and rates?

  • Usually the rent does not include any bills unless stated otherwise in the ad

  • Hi, When renting the cost is usually only for the rent itself however it may include the likes of buildings insurance. We would advise that you take a look at your tenancy agreement which will state whether it is inclusive or exclusive of bills etc We hope this helps.

  • Normally buildings insurance yes, contents insurance and council tax no.
