You will find that most landlords will ask for a deposit on the property. This will secure the property to any damages that may occur during the tenancy. The landlord, by law should also register the deposit, meaning that it will be safe, and providing there are no discrepancies at the end of the tenancy, the full deposit will be refunded back to you. Also, be aware that the standard deposit asked for by landlords is around 4 - 6 weeks.

All properties that you will want to rent the Landlord will always need a deposit; this is held in a client account and will be returned when the tenancy ends.
