  • Hi hennad, As you have no doubt experienced, it can be hard at the moment to find a rental property at a time when you are on benefits. This is largely due to the fact that demand is high for this sector, meaning landlords are able to attract lower-risk people who are not on benefits. However, there are ways that you can rent when you are on benefits. If you can afford to pay a large chunk of rent up front, for example, or if you have a guarantor who can take legal responsibility for your rent payments. Another tactic is to get in touch with the local council. Many will have a list of agents and landlords who work with people on benefits, and they might just be able to pass this on to you. Many thanks, Scott
