Renting for the first time
What advice would you give? I am renting for the first time and not sure what to look out for. Good and bad points?

Make sure you get the right location, while city centre living is convenient it can be noisy, go back to the property at different times of the day to get a feel for how you like the location. Do not over spend make sure you take all bills into account, Council tax, Water, Electric, Gas, TV license, rent, Insurance (contents). Also if you have a car do you need a residents permit or is there off Road Parking etc

Arrive early. Take someone with you. Prepare a checklist of questions. Question occupiers. Take a camera. Look past furnishing. Visit at different times of day. Visit in daylight hours. Look around communal areas. Investigate parking options. Research transport links. Check tenancy deposit scheme. Research the letting agent Good luck with your search and welcome to lettings!
