On the renting a house

When renting a house, are you allowed to decorate the house yourself and if there's a carpet on floor are you allowed to put your own laminate down because I've never gone private before I've always had council?

  • You will need to ask your landlord whether he agrees to this first before making any changes to the property. If you want to redecorate yourself it will need to be done to a professional standard otherwise your landlord may charge you at the end of your tenancy for causing a damage to their property.
