How far in advance to September should I search for a house?

  • I would say 6 to 8 weeks before you wish to be in the property, but I would suggest starting research now to narrow down house types and locations etc. Good luck

  • It would depend if you are looking to purchase or rent? Rental property can be moved into very quickly and have set dates when they are available from, normally one or two months in advance, some immediatley. Should you wish to buy then the transaction times can vary due to chain length etc, if it is freehold or not, but typically 12 -14 weeks on average.

  • If Renting 6-8 weeks. If buying at least 3-4 months. It all depends on the area, how many properties are available, and the demand for these properties. Besk of Luck.
