What is the DSS? Why do I need it?

DSS = Department of Social Security. You may be able to claim Housing Benefit if you are on a low income in order to help pay your rent.

DSS is the Department of Social Security which supports those who don't work, have a family and those that have a family and work but are on a low income. Those of the latter get penilised because they are put in the same category as those that don't/won't work. I wish more landlords would look at their potential tenants personal circumstance before they say no to DSS.
