It is against the law for agencies to not deal with applicants with Housing Benefit. DHSS is a disability benefit and therefore any agent not dealing with applicants is seen to be discriminating. Personal Landlords however can decide not to accept tenants. Best advice I can give is to still register with all agents explain your using Housing Benefit and they should know which landlords accept it, and so which properties you can view or rent.
