  • Best to schedule an appointment with a local letting agent. Discuss your budget, what type of tenants you are targetting - this could be dictated by the area you are looking to buy. Also, get general advice on type of properties that are in demand, time on market to let, fees and services, other set up and recurring costs (insurances, safety certs etc). Once you are armed with all of this information, create a short list of properties to buy that meet your criteria and then schedule an appointment or send to your letting agent to get a rental comparable. Don't forget to do a drive by of the property first to look at the local area - what do the neighbouring properties look like (no body wants to live next door to someone who runs a car repair service on his driveway). Look at the physical location of the property, is it next to a main road junction, is there a school / shop opposite, what about parking etc. Think of yourself living in the area, all of the things that could put you off will put off potential tenants too. Good luck !

  • We would suggest that that you contact a few of the local sales agents in the area. They will be able to give you advice and information on the area that you are interested in. It’s worth doing some research on the Internet too. Good Luck!
