Short-Let Tenancy: Must the full rental be paid in advance?

I'm moving to London in a few weeks and I'm considering short-let tenancy until I'm well established. I've read that in the case of short lets, the full rental must be paid in advance but I would like to know if this is standard or flexible. Many thanks in advance.

  • It is standard for an agency or a landlord to ask for the full rental payment to be paid in advance. If you cannot afford this, it is advisable to speak to the agency to see if they can split up the payments into a monthly basis. Hope this helps?!
