Is rent paid per week or month in the United Kingdom?

  • It depends on location and type of property. In London and for house shares/student lets nationwide rent is generally advertised as per week. In the rest if the UK it is generally advertised as per calender month.

  • In London, rents are usually advertised "per week", but agreed and paid "per calendar month (pcm)". I assume this is a local custom.
