Decent property, schools and safe area?

I am looking to rent a property in the South Woodford area, I have been told it is a nice area of London. However, the things I do have to consider are the schools and how safe the area is as I have 3 children. Can anyone advise me of the most decent schools and areas in and around South Woodford please?
