How early should I advertise my property to rent?

I am looking to rent out my property mid-end July, when should I formally list it? Any suggestions? thanks1

  • Hi Kat, As soon as possible I would suggest. Get the interest buzzing around your property. You can also use the time to get feedback from potential buyers to improve your home when selling. Good luck with the home sale. Jonathan Rolande :-)

  • Hi Kat, This is a great question, we normally advise to put on the market on 6 to 8 weeks before the date available. The reason for this is most tenants will need to give 4 to 8 weeks notice to vacate their property,. This also gives you/agents enough time to fully reference the applicants and make sure everything is complete in due course for the move in date, I hope this was useful?
