Curtains in an unfurnished property

After having signed both the tenancy contract and the inventory, can a tenant demand blackout curtains for all windows?

  • Hi. You can't demand it. I would suggest that you ask nicely to see if your landlord would be willing to supply them. Unfortunately you have less negotiating power once you have signed a lease, however it's often the case that a landlord will provide you with things (particularly if this may help the property to rent again in the future) if asked.
