Hi doanle, It really depends what kind of house that you are looking to purchase. The good news for buyers is that houses in general in Manchester cost less than the national average, which has been fluctuating around the £160,000 mark for the past few months. In the city, the mean price for a home will be £149,752 at present, but obviously there are large fluctuations for different kinds of property and locales around the many areas that Manchester has to offer. For example, if you are seeking out a detached house, you will pay around £275,067, but on the other hand, flats can be obtained for about £131,280. In terms of areas, the most expensive in the city can be found at Trafford where prices will sit near the quarter of a million mark. Meanwhile, more reasonable prices are discoverable in places such as Salford, or further out of the city in Greater Manchester regions such as Oldham. Thanks, Scott
