Do landlords accept people who work but have been bankrupt in the pas? I currently privately rent for last 4 years, with no missed payments on rent.

I am looking at moving from my current private rented house through NGU homebuyers, where I have been renting for 4 years with no missed rent payments. My query is I was bankrupt a few years ago. Would this affect me renting another property? I currently work.

  • I don't think it should stand in your way. As long as you have references and can prove that you can pay the rent etc. A lot of landlords don't do credit checks, so they wouldn't even have to know.
