Is there a letting agency that has a list of landlords that allow you to rent with a pet?

  • Hi Petlover, No doubt you have experienced some difficulty in trying to find somewhere that allows you the chance to rent out a property when you are bringing pets with you. At the current time, there are many landlords who will not let to people with cats and dogs in particular. At the moment, this is largely because there is always a risk of furniture becoming damaged by claws from animals, so not renting to those who bring pets is a way to minimise this, especially with demand as high as it is at the moment. However, there will be some who still accept pets, and there are ways to find them. Using a Zoopla advanced search and looking for the keywords "pets allowed" on the right hand side will let you find landlords who accept pets, while looking at will let you check specific areas. Thanks, Scott

  • There is no list as such. Most agents do not like renting to pet owners, so your best call might be trying to rent privately. You can also try and offer to put down higher deposit and offer professional clean at the end of your tenancy

  • Hi, There is no such list as of yet however each individual letting agent may be able to filter out their properties for your search and present you with properties that allow pets however this is dependent on the individual estate agent. We would suggest if you are unable to find an agent that allows you to rent with pets then you look at searching for a private landlord who could be more flexible with this arrangement. We hope this helps.
