  • Hi Clarecook, The difference between renting and letting is quite straightforward. It basically just depends whether you are a landlord or a tenant. A landlord will put a property up to let or for let, whereas the tenant will rent a property from the person who owns it. Where confusion can often occur is where a property listing says something like "let agreed" or even simply the word "let" itself. All that this means is that someone has agreed with the agents that they will take on the house or flat and it is essentially off the market. In basic terms though, there is no real difference between renting and letting, you merely let to and rent from. Many thanks, Scott
