Renting out property for Olympics 2012 & Rugby World Cup 2015
What price could I rent out my 4 bedroom property in Sixth Cross Road Twickenham, TW2 5PE for the 2012 olympics and Rugby World Cup 2015 & what would be my costs e.g. additional insurance, commission, tax implications in respect of additional income?

Check with your local letting agents for the best available price.

I'm in the same boat; my one bedroom flat is very close to the ground (less than 100 metres) and I would consider letting it out. I contacted a company that deals with lettings at Wimbledon tennis. I thought that they'd be experienced with this kind of thing. They were not looking beyond the Olympics next year (I can see they'd be busy with that) but I felt they'd be the people to contact nearer the time. From our conversation it seemed as though one bedroom flats were not the most desirable (though I'm not put off as my flat has a great position). Flats and houses get let to media people or the sports people themselves. But my guess is that there must be many more media people than anyone else. The agent also seems to organise contracts for just a few weeks, which would be handy.

I forgot to say 'Rugby' ground in the answer above. My flat is at TW1 1DG.
