  • It is possible if you had a private tenancy agreement with your tenant. There may be legal ramifications so I would recommend speaking with a solicitor before you undertake any agreement.

  • It is possible to rent a property for 3 months or less. The only difference is that it is classed as a short term tenancy. Landlords may be inclined to ask for a higher rent because the rent is not secured for a longer period of time, yet cover all costs of bills etc. A standard tenancy agreement can not be drawn up as this may only be liable for a tenancy 6 months or longer. I would suggest speaking to different agencies, as almost all will deal with a shorter term of tenancy. As a tenant, you may also be interested in looking into services apartments, where they specialise in shorter terms, (minimum of 3 weeks) tenancies, and can also come with cleaners etc inclusive of the price

  • It is very rare that 3 month contracts come on with letting agents but it is possible although you would have more chance going privately or looking specifically for short term lets on gumtree rentals. Thanks Mark

  • Hi, Yes, some landlords will do short term lets but not many, it's best to check with the landlord / estate agent when expressing interest.
