What do "short term let" and "long term let" mean? - And renting in Newport, Wales

If I would like to rent a house in the UK for 4 months, would it be short or long term? Am looking for a house with 5+rooms to rent in Newport, Wales - Would like to know how much it would cost approximately. Thanks!

  • Short term is usually from 1 day onwards. Long term usually starts from 6 months. 4 months is a little difficult with regards to searching for property. Many landlords that are looking to let their property for long terms prefer a minimum of 6 months, but may be willing to take on a tenant for 4 months especially if the property is vacant. Shorter term properties are not often available for such a long time and are usually a lot more expensive. Again maybe the landlord would be willing to take on a tenant which would guarantee rent for a longer period.

  • Sounds like you're looking for a 'medium term' rental, actually! Our website specializes in these, although I'm not so sure we have much property in Wales at the moment. Worth a look?
