Bad credit and no guarantor
My husband works full time, I am looking for work and we have a 15 year old son. We are currently in temporary accommodation looking to rent in Worthing, West Sussex. We are struggling with up front fees, have a bad credit history and no guarantor. Any suggestions?

In your situation, try avoiding estate agents for now - the fees will probably cripple you. Your best bet is to discuss the situation with whoever is providing your temporary accomodation, and ask them for a little more time - save up a reasonable deposit from whatever income you have, ebay things if you have to to raise capital, then start searching privately for places to live. You'll find an increasing number of Landlords going privately, but you have to look quite hard for them - not many will advertise on big partner sites such as Rightmove and Zoopla - try your local paper and small ads publications such as Friday Ad, Loot, Gumtree etc. Let us know how you get on.
