The price of council tax essentially boils down to one thing - the perceived or predicted price of your home in 1991, as opposed to where you actually live. While obviously the area you live in will have an impact on house price, the actual cost is the deciding factor rather than the region, town or street you live in.
To find out the tax band that your property has fallen into, you will need to pay a visit to the website for the Valuations Office Agency (VOA) where you can type in a postcode, street name or house number to learn what band (A to H) your home is in.
From there, you will need to visit the website for Leeds City Council, which breaks down the cost into each band and will tell you what you need to pay for the current year.

For any queries in regards to council tax, we would advice that you speak to the local council for that area who will be able to provide you with details of what band the property is in and the costs for this. We would suggest when in contact with them that you state your full situation, such as if you are the sole occupant etc as in that instance you would be eligible for a 25% deduction.
We hope this helps.
