  • Hi jonathan, You certainly can rent without doing a credit check. It is a far more common process for letting agents to carry these out than not, but there are still a great many who do not require a credit check for an application. Even if you do come across one who requires a credit check, though, there are ways around this. For example, if you have a guarantor, you will be able to get a letter from them that says they will take on the legal responsibility for your rent being paid. In addition to this, you can also offer a larger security deposit if possible and pay a few months of your rent in advance to give the agent and the landlord peace of mind. Many thanks, Scott
