  • Hi Carbonelvernon, It can be difficult at the moment to find a landlord or lettings agent who will take on someone who is on DHSS, largely because of the fact that they are experiencing high demand. Unfortunately, some have a bad impression of people who get housing benefits, even if they have no reason for it, meaning that they will reject these applicants outright. There are things you can do, though. One option is to try heading to your local council. They should have someone in the housing department there who will be able to help you with any query that you have. They will also have access to a list of lettings agents who are happy to deal with people on benefits, and as such they will be able to point you in the right direction to find the sort of home that you are looking for. Your other option can be to use the search function here on Zoopla. Use the area you want to live in to look for the type of housing you desire, and then on the right hand side, use the keyword part to look for terms such as "DSS accepted" or something similar. Many thanks, Scott
