  Despite what you may have heard, Bath is generally a very safe area to live and if you take sensible precautions, Southdown is no different to other areas of Bath. The main problems in the Southdown and Oldfield Park areas are related to the student population and occasional noise and disturbance caused by late-night parties and drinking. Southdown offers exceptional value for money at the moment offering good quality family homes at competitive prices. I would recommend Apple Estates Bath who I have found to be knowledgeable and friendly and always seem to have a good selection in this area (http://www.apple-estates-bath.co.uk).

  I would suggest looking www.upmystreet.com and also www.crimeinmyarea.co.uk where you can find the crimes that took place in that area!
