  • I would have a look at the website. It will give you detailed crime information for the area.

  • We would suggest that that you contact a few of the local agents in the area. They will be able to give you advice and information on the area that you are interested in. It’s worth doing some research on the Internet too. Good Luck!

  • LU2 is generally good - Stopsley, Putteridge area. LU3 - areas such as Leagrave maybe not so good. Also, as with any town/city centre, it's best avoided if you want a quiet life.

  • Good areas with a big budget are Old Bedford Road, Wardown area and Ludlow Avenue (detached houses between £450k to £1.5million). On more affordable budgets Leagrave is excellent as is Wigmore, Stopsley and Bramingham Barton Hills (3 bed terraces from £210k). On a tighter budget then Sundon Park, Round Green, St Anne's and Birds Estate. Avoid Dallow (LU1) and Marsh Farm (LU3).

  • Better areas are Leagrave, Limbury, Sundon Park, Barton Hills, Warden Hills, Bramingham, Bushmead, old Bedford road area, wardown park, stopsley, round green, wigmore. Luton is like most cities of similar size, lots of very good areas but also the not so good such as dallow or marsh farm.
