What is it like to live in Bovingdon?

  • I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.

  • I lived in Bovingdon for 19 years and recently moved to Hemel Hempstead....The first 5 years we lived there, I didn't like very much as the locals are very clicky with new faces, until they get to know you. once your known your set for life I promise you. The village shops are amoung the best locally and the Bovingdon academy is second to none. the only down side to the school is when it comes to the addmissions and you wat your child (if you have children) to go to a school in Hemel Hempstead, its always a worry that they will or will not get there place as addmissions give priority to those who live nearer to the school.We lived on the outskirts of the village and our son didn't get his first choice of school but got his second choice which worked out better. good luck hope this info helped
