  • I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or police.gov to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.

  • I lived there for a couple of years when I first moved to Birmingham, and now live in a neighbouring suburb. Acocks Green is a middle-of-the-road kind of suburb, not especially affluent but not what I'd consider a rough area. Ethnically it's pretty mixed. Shopping is quite good, with a mixture of independent shops and the more budget-conscious national chains, making it feel like a little town in its own right. Very good bus & rail links to B'ham city centre and Solihull.

  • I would suggest looking www.upmystreet.com and also www.crimeinmyarea.co.uk where you can find the crimes that took place in that area!

  • A very convenient area, 1/2 Wat between Birmingham city centre and Solihull. Easy to get to most areas from. Shopping centre has most things and local schools are mainly deemed 'outstanding' by Ofsted. Small park, bowling alley etc. good bus links including the circular city 11.

And a railway station to take you to Solihull or Birminghamin a few minutes.
