Cheltenham St Georges Drive neighbourhood

Can you describe the neighbourhood of the above? Young couples, pensioners, single mums. What is the area like? It looks very private (which sometimes can spell "trouble")

  • Hi Kev90 I don't have information about how the community is made up, but I have managed to dig up some crime figures for the particular street you are interested in. Looking at figures provided on Police.uk for the last three months on record (December 2012, January and February of this year) it appears that there have not been any reported incidents on Saint George's Drive. However, in a one-mile radius of this area there have been around 500 crimes each month, going back to April last year. In May, July and August there were over 600 incidents reported to the police, although February 2013 saw a reduction down to 495. Generally speaking, anti-social behaviour makes up around a third of offences in this area between April last year and February just gone, while ten per cent of crimes were in the criminal damage or arson category. Almost 12 per cent of crimes were shoplifting offences, with "other crime" and "other theft" making up 25 per cent. I hope that helps shed some light. Scott

  • Thanks mod This area does strike very peaceful, no screaming kids, some of the props look tired (suggesting student sublet), lots of cars, parked on pavemts (suggesting "working people"), I think the stats come from "across the road". If it is as peaceful as portrays, great for me. Top end does "lack care"... Prices s/be under £100,000 realistically, (two props asking 120-125,.... but prop sold 2012-13 suggest 100,000 (unless rundown?)
