We are a young married couple in our early 30's expecting our first baby. Which is the best/safest area of Hastings for families?

Old Town and East Hill look like good areas?

  • I live in Hastings/St Leonards and can only give you my personal opinion. Most of the area is nice and pretty quiet. I would say avoid Hollington if anything, Ore is also not so appealing generally and maybe chose an area slightly back from the sea front getting less busy. A lot of the area surrounding Alexander Park is nice, towards the top of Battle Rd is nice and slightly further out in Battle itself is very nice. Probably worth also researching the better schools for the future of your Child. Hope this helped.

  • Try Clive Vale, good schooling, local shops and ideal for access to the Old Town and fire hills for country walks. You will be looking at anything between £120,000+ for a 2 bedroom house within the area.
