Is Bow, East London safe?
I'm new to London and have heard mixed reports about the East End.

I've lived in Bow for 10 years and have had absolutely no problems at any time of day or night. However if you stray outside Bow, things can deteriorate quite quickly - especially south of Bow Church DLR. Bow itself has really improved a lot in recent years and the council does a good job of maintaining/improving the area.

Like all London areas you can have million pound houses next to council estates - same in Bow. Tredegar Square has several +£1m houses and less than 5 minutes walk away are several council estates. But in 7 years I never experienced any problems. E3 has so much going for it. Mile End Transport Hub, Vicky Park, Olympic Park, Westfield Stratford, Canals, Climbing Centre, Great Pubs & Eateries. Go and live there!
