Safety in Godstow Road London SE2

I would like to know if Godstow Road SE2 London is a safe area to live in because according to your statistics for safety and community there is only a score of 2.5 out of 5 this worries me because I saw another house for sale with the same score which had a home for relocated children close by.

  • Hi z2_ODIwMjQwa2V2 The ratings which you refer to are provided by our community, so can be open to interpretation depending on a number of factors. Referring to crime in the area, if you click on the Crime tab on the link that I have supplied below you can see figures for 2010/2011 of incidents per 1,000 people in Greenwich. These numbers are above the national average, and a good breakdown of this can be found by visiting the website. By typing in your area and clicking on the map on the right hand side you will see that 145 incidents were reported within half a mile of Godstow Road, and 399 in a mile's radius for April this year. Four of these incidents took place on Godstow Road itself in April, and these were defined as vehicle crime (two), violent crime (one) and criminal damage and arson (one). Between May 2012 and April 2013 almost a third of crime in the mile around Godstow Road was anti-social behaviour. In order to get a good feel for the area, I would recommend having a drive around both during the day and night to see what you think. I hope that helps Scott
